Why Samsung Is Unable To Beat Apple? Software?

Samsung doesn’t look after their old customers by old customers I 

mean people who bought their earlier flagships, for example they 

never push out newer software updates like apple does, ya I know 

developing a new android firmware is very different than 

developing iOS as it is a closed system but Samsung really takes 

their customer for granted and almost completely neglects them 

and focus on their newer Flagships, eventually the customers of 

newer flagships ends up the same way!

Now people are going to say that I am just another Customer 

ranting about updates(Well, i own a GS7), but no I am just 

concerned about this issue as it is frustrating for many users 

around the globe, this is clearly one of the reasons why Samsung is

still behind Apple in Some aspects, another reason includes that 

Samsung Focuses on making too many models of phone and not 


looking after them afterwards. Well you don’t expect to throw that 

beautiful device you bought after only a year!

I Personally think that software updates are not only meant to 

provide newer features but also a way of showing that 

Manufacturer Still cares about you, this is what apple does the 

best(aside from business :P )

 

 

The Software - Hardware Balance.

Samsung makes great phones but lag behind in customer 

experience department which is a Shame, Look at Motorola or 

Pixel Phones they not only provide top notch hardware but also 

provide a proper feedback channel for customers as well as an 

 amazing Customer Experience.

Also I don’t really understand Samsung’s Software customization, 

like Implementation of a theme engine was a great move 

(Introduced With Galaxy S6) but it didn’t gave option to get 

completely rid of TouchWiz/ GraceUX, Instead they should have 

given “TouchWiz/GraceUX” as part of theme for your phone but 

Samsung was Like YOLO.

See the thing is as the Smartphone market saturates more and more,

People tend to find newer things like quality of materials, premium 

feel and features and also for Experience. Which Samsung almost 

every time fails to deliver specially in Software Department, due to 

which phones like Pixel are more loved and one major reason is the  
Software Experience Users get.
